Q: DO YOU TAKE ALUMINUM CANS CRUSHED?
A: Yes. We take them either way as long as they are in a bag, bucket, etc.
Q: WHAT IS #1 PREPARED?
A: # 1 Prepared is clean steel or cast iron that is 3 ft X 18 iches and smaller. This includes Rotors.
Q: WHAT DO I NEED TO SCRAP A CAR?
A: You will need the correct vehicle title. Who ever is on the FRONT of the title must be present (if there are 2 people both must be here). Please have CURRENT PHOTO ID (either Driver's license or State ID will do).
If the person on the title is deceased, we will need the Power of Attorney here to sign over the title. Please have the official Power of Attorney letter and Death certificate along with your ID.
If you've married since buying the vehicle and the title is in your maiden name, you must present us with either a marriage license or a former photo ID with your maiden name.
We reserve the right to refuse any vehicle if the Pennsylvania state law requirements are not met.
Q: WHAT MAKES A VEHICLE A "WHOLE CAR"?
A: Whole vehicles must have everything intact. You may either drain all fluids (gas, oil, antifreeze) or we will deduct 300lb for them
If the vehicle is missing parts such as the motor, transmission, cat converter, radiator, or tires/wheels it will pay a lesser Shredder Car price.

Q: DO YOU SELL MATERIAL?
A: Kittanning and Clarion may sell certain material that has been bought as scrap. Please be aware that these yards do not accept Credit Card, only cash or personal checks (with ID)
Our Homer City yard does sell New Steel, please contact them for more information.
